Stitching a Panorama
The two KAP pictures below were taken of the front and back halves of the Johnson City, Tennessee Public Library. Both were taken at close to the same altitude and horizontal position. The combined images reveal that both images are slightly off level and the image on the right was taken from a greater distance and needs enlarging to match the size of the left.
The windows were used as a guide to enlarging the left image. The roof line was used as the initial matching point. The biggest mismatch was the blue car in the lower center of the combined images. Before combining the two images the color levels and contrast had to be matched
